"Devote Yourselves to good works and to supplying the urgent needs of others, so that you may not be unproductive" (Titus 3:14).
As an engaged Parish member, please prayerfully consider service in one of our many Parish Ministries. In this way, you will live out your Baptismal call to carry on the mission and ministry of our Lord Jesus.
Our parish ministries require not only your financial support, but also your participation to create a vibrant faith community that not only lives the word of God, but also lives out Jesus’ actions. I ask you to consider joining one of the ministries of our Parish. If you would like to join a particular ministry, please CLICK HERE to download a brochure with detailed information on current ministries at Incarnation, check the appropriate box, and on the last page print your name, your last name, contact information. If you are not sure what ministry you would like to join, print the pamphlet at home, read it, pray about it, and bring it with you to Church and put it in the collection basket with your Sunday offering.
Your dedicated service is greatly needed in many ministries across the Parish. We hope that you share the Good News of the Risen Lord by glorifying Him with your gifts of time, treasure and talent. Thank you for your consideration.
The Parish Pastoral Council is the primary consultative body of the parish. It works in conjunction with the Pastor to assess the needs of the parish, and to develop goals and plans to meet those needs. The Parish Pastoral Council works with the parish's four commissions to implement goals and objectives to insure ongoing development and continuity in our efforts to live our faith and build the kingdom of God.
Parish commissions include:
Faith Formation and Education
Human Concerns
Parish Life
Spiritual Life
The Faith Formation Commission supports and nurtures a comprehensive plan for the religious formation and education of the entire faith community. Their priorities include: religious formation for children (including the parish school and the Religious Education Program), sacramental preparation (including baptism and marriage), and adult faith formation (including the RCIA process, Bible study and the parish retreat).
The Human Concerns Commission deals with issues of basic human needs, poverty, and justice and peace. It promotes the social teaching of the Church, respect for human life at all stages, and cooperates with other organizations and outreach beyond our own parish community. These include: Christmas sharing tree, PADS, St. Vincent dePaul Society, Easter basket donations, the Peace & Justice Committee and Pro-Life Committee.
The Parish Life Commission is concerned with the ministries that enhance our parish communal life, such as TRAIN youth ministry, athletics, men’s and women’s groups, the seniors’ group and parish hospitality. This commission also includes the committees that address issues involving parish grounds (Garden Club), facilities and finances.
The Spiritual Life Commission supports and nurtures the spiritual life of the parish community. Their priorities include: the liturgy itself, (including all liturgical ministries, the music ministries and the worship space itself), other sacraments of the Church (including parish Reconciliation services), the Adoration Chapel, spiritual reading materials in the vestibule and planning the Parish Mission.
